Study Abroad
Towson University is proud to offer students the opportunity to study in many countries around the world while earning academic credit toward their degrees. Credits earned on these programs will transfer back to your Towson transcript and count towards your degree. Federal financial aid, TU and other study abroad scholarships can be used to pay for these programs.
If after researching TU study abroad and TU affiliate program options you cannot find a program that fits your academic or financial needs, you may submit a petition to the Study Abroad Office to seek approval to participate on a program not sponsored by or affiliated with TU. The petition will be reviewed by the Petitions Subcommittee of the Faculty Committee on Study Abroad (FCOSA) for final approval. The committee meets once per month during the academic year. Please contact the TU Study Abroad Office to obtain a petition form. NOTE: Retroactive peitions will not be considered.
