Leveraging Your International Experience: Baltimore Regional
Re-entry Conference

All conference attendees will be entered to win a $100 travel voucher generously donated by STA Travel.

Location: Andrew White Center, 4th Floor Student Activities Room, Loyola University Maryland

This conference is designed for students who have had an international experience. Participants will receive information relevant to future opportunities that are globally oriented.

Make personal and professional meaning of your time abroad. Learn how to market your knowledge and skills on your resume, cover letters and in job interviews. Share your international experiences with other students. Speak with experts about other international opportunities including volunteering, working, and graduate study abroad.

Open to all students in the Baltimore metro area with an interest in leveraging an international experience for personal and professional benefit.

Program Schedule:

The conference will begin at 9:30 a.m. with check-in and registration and end at 1:30 p.m.

9:30 - 10 a.m. Registration
10 - 10:45 a.m. Welcome and Cross-cultural exercise
10:45 - 11:30 a.m. Leveraging your International Experience
11:30 - 11:45 a.m. Panel Introductions
11:45 a.m.- 12:30 p.m. Q & A with Panel
12:30 - 1:00 p.m. Lunch and Networking
1:00 - 1:30 p.m. Resume critique (optional)

Sessions will cover the following topics:

Leveraging your International Experience

Utilizing your resume and writing cover letters to feature your study abroad experience, conducting successful job interviews.
Question and Answer Panel The floor will be open to your questions for the full duration of the time allotted to the session.

Loyola University Maryland is located at the corner of Cold Spring Lane and North Charles Street in Baltimore City at:

Free parking is available in the Jenkins Lot on the Evergreen Campus and along West Cold Spring Lane until 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays.  Additional parking can be found on Reservoir Road off Cold Spring Lane.

From I-695, take Exit 25 (Charles Street). Proceed south on Charles Street (approximately 7 miles).

From I-83, take Exit 9A (East Cold Spring Lane). Proceed east on Cold Spring Lane to the intersection at Charles Street.

Registration:

The conference is open to all interested students in the Baltimore area. Registration fee includes program, information materials, and lunch. To register, submit the Registration Form (PDF) and $8.00 registration fee by Friday, February 3, 2012 to:
