I'm Back, Now What? Leveraging Your International Experience: Baltimore Regional Re-entry Conference

Location: West Village Commons, 4th Floor Ballroom A, Towson University

This conference is designed for students who have had an international experience. Participants will receive information relevant to future opportunities that are globally oriented.

Make personal and professional meaning of your time abroad. Learn how to market your knowledge and skills on your resume, cover letters and in job interviews. Share your international experiences with other students. Speak with experts about other international opportunities including volunteering, working, and graduate study abroad.

Open to all students in the Baltimore metro area with an interest in leveraging an international experience for personal and professional benefit.

Program Schedule:

The conference will begin at 9:30 a.m. with check-in and registration and end at 1:30 p.m.

9:30 - 10:00 a.m. Registration
10:00 - 10:45 a.m. Welcome and cross-cultural exercise
10:45 - 11:15 a.m. Marketing your experience abroad
11:15 - 12:30 p.m. Q & A panel
12:30 - 1:30 p.m. Lunch and networking
1:30 - 3:00 p.m. Resume critique and interest fair (optional)

Sessions will cover the following topics:

Question and Answer Panel The floor will be open to your questions for the full duration of the time allotted to the session.

Directions and Parking:

Towson University West Village Commons is located on Emerson Dr., accessible from Osler Dr. and Towsontown Blvd.

Parking:

Visitor parking is available in the nearby West Village Garage at a rate of $3/day. Visitor parking permits can be purchased at the pay station on the ground level of the garage and must be clearly displayed on the vehicle dashboard.

Directions to the Towson University campus, campus maps and transportation options can be found at: http://www.towson.edu/main/abouttu/visitor/index.asp. Directions to the West Village Garage are below:

From I-95 (northbound and southbound): Take the Baltimore Beltway I-695 west (towards Towson). Take exit 25 (Charles Street) south. Proceed 1.7 miles. Turn left on Towsontown Boulevard. Turn right on Emerson Drive. The West Village Garage will be ahead on the right.

From I-83 (northbound and southbound): Take the Baltimore Beltway I-695 east (towards Towson). Take exit 25 (Charles Street) south. Proceed 1.7 miles. Turn left on Towsontown Boulevard. Turn right on Emerson Drive. The West Village Garage will be ahead on the right.

From I-70 (eastbound): Take the Baltimore Beltway I-695 north (towards Towson). Take exit 25 (Charles Street) south. Proceed 1.7 miles. Turn left on Towsontown Boulevard. Turn right on Emerson Drive. The West Village Garage will be ahead on the right.

From Baltimore (Penn Station): Proceed north on Charles Street for 5 miles. Turn right on Towsontown Boulevard. Turn right on Emerson Drive. The West Village Garage will be ahead on the right.

Registration:

The conference is open to all interested students in the Baltimore area. Registration fee includes program, information materials, and lunch. To register, submit the Registration Form (PDF) and $8.00 registration fee by Friday, February 1, 2013 to:
