The University of the West Indies is home to a vibrant, cosmopolitan community with students from the Caribbean, North America, Europe, Latin America, and Asia. The University has three main campuses in Jamaica, Barbados, and Trinidad and Tobago.
Towson University students have the opportunity to study at UWI's St. Augustine campus located on the island of Trinidad, 10 miles east of the nation's capital - the Port of Spain. The campus has a total student population of over 13,000 students and offers a wide range of courses taught by scholars from around the world. With over 50 years of experience serving the higher education needs of the Caribbean region, UWI has built a tradition of excellence and quality in teaching and research which is unmatched by any other provider in the region.
Student life at UWI is not only about academics. Students can take advantage of a range of sporting and recreational facilities, including an expansive Student Activity Centre and a multi-million dollar Sport and Physical Education Centre. Students can also enjoy many activities and services offered through the Guild of Students and its clubs and associations.
Academic Information: TU students may receive Honors College credit for their study abroad experience.

Dates: Spring (semester 2): late January- mid-May Fall (semester 1): late August - December
Housing Options:Residence hall, off-campus rented house or apartment.
Cost: TU tuition and fees. Additional costs include airfare, housing, meals, $190 health insurance fee, personal expenses, and a $300 study abroad fee.TU Tuition remission can be applied.
Eligibility: Student must be a full-time undergraduate degree-seeking student at TU with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Sophomore/Junior/Senior status.
Application Process: Fill out the application and submit it to the TU Study Abroad Office. $100 exchange application fee.
