The University of Leeds is acclaimed world-wide for the quality of its teaching and research. Located in the center of England, Leeds is well-known as a student city and one of the fastest growing cities in the U.K. Located in the district of Yorkshire, Leeds is close to the ancient city of York with historical attractions such as Viking and Roman heritage, the Minster, Shambles and museums.
Leeds is a dynamic city with numeroU.S. top nightclubs, live music venues, world class sport, cinema, theatre and a wide range of other leisure activities available to the study abroad student.
Academic Information: EQUIS accredited.15-16 U.S. credits (60 UK credits) per semester / 6 U.S. credits (2 courses) for summer. Medical and dentistry classes are not available to study abroad students. Early application is recommended for students interested in taking classes in business, English, history, politics, or law.
TU students may receive Honors College credit for their study abroad experience.
Housing:
Students studying at Leeds for a semester or year can choose from catered or self-catered university accommodation. There is also limited opportunity for home stay. University accommodation is guaranteed to all students who apply by the housing application deadline. Students participating in the summer program will stay in self-catered apartments at ‘The Plaza’student residence.
Program cost includes academic credit, fees, and health insurance. Students will be billed by Towson University. Additional costs include airfare, housing, meals, visa fees, personal expenses, and a $300 study abroad fee. Students pay the host institution directly for housing.
Summer 2013: $4,985 includes 6 credits, housing, health insurance, field trips and excursions, social

Eligibility: Must be a full-time undergraduate degree-seeking student with an overall GPA of 3.0. Sophomore/Junior/Senior status.
If applying to the the summer program applicant must be a full-time undergraduate degree-seeking student with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8.
Application Process: Fill out the application and submit it to the TU Study Abroad Office. $50 application fee. Non-TU students must also submit a completed Non-Degree Enrollment Application.
