Blackboard is Towson's method of delivering Fully Online, Hybrid and Web Supported Classes. Instructors can use a few or as many of the tools available within the Blackboard environment as needed.
Blackboard consists of course sites and community sites. Course sites are associated with credited courses and are automatically generated from PeopleSoft. Community sites are created via request from a department, organization or group.

Blackboard 24/7 Support
Blackboard support service offers technical support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week – including holidays. Students and faculty can initiate a live chats, submit tickets, review support history, access the Knowledge Base and log into the Blackboard environment. If there is an issue that the online service cannot resolve, it will be sent to Towson Blackboard Administrators.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RESOLVE MY ISSUE?
When contacting Blackboard support by phone or live chat, most issues are resolved within 5 – 10 minutes, although complex issues may take a bit longer to resolve. Ticket submissions through the Online Support Center are typically resolved within 24 hours, depending on the time of year. During non-peak times, requests submitted online are generally resolved within a few hours.
If there is an issue that cannot be resolved by the Online Support Center, it will be escalated to Towson Blackboard Administrators, who will contact you about the issue.
