Lighting Design

Light designer Jay Herzog's early research led him to a lighting effect that he may use to suggest water images in the play. He also made sketches to share his ideas with the rest of the production team. He notes "These drawings are really about texture and color more than they are about demonstrating an exact place or cue in the show." He constructed a series of sketches, to open conversations for the team. Night and day happen in contrasting palettes of color and texture, while special lighting is used for particular moments such as the burning of Jamie's clothing.
