Welcome to the home of the New Russian Drama Project. Our productions , the result of a collaboration between the Center for International Theatre Development The Department of Theatre Arts at Towson University, is bringing new Russian drama to audiences in the United States through the translation, study and production of plays by a new generation of Russian playwrights. This site will provide information about the plays and playwrights that are putting the voice of contemporary Russia on stage and about productions and other events that will be open to US audiences.

The next production in our new Russian drama season, Olga Mukhina’s Tanya-Tanya, opens in our Studio Theatre on December 4th. The production features a new adaptation of the play by Kate Moira Ryan and was directed by Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence Yury Urnov and choreographed by Rosenberg Guest Artists Alexandra Konnikova and Albert Albert.
