Undergraduate Programs - Admission and Class Registration

Admission and class registration procedures vary, depending on whether you are a current Towson University student, a Harford Community College student, or a Cecil College student. If you are a new student, contact Towson University's Office of Admissions for more information.

If you are a current Towson University student:

Register for these classes using Towson Online Services (use the secure login link) or in person. To register, you must be enrolled at Towson University and have a student account.

Individual Class Registration
Students currently taking courses at Harford Community College (HCC) or Cecil College may register to take individual Towson classes.

If you are a Harford Community College student:

Complete Towson University’s “Undergraduate Non-Degree Enrollment” form and submit to the Student Development Specialist, at Harford Community College’s Student Center. Undergraduate Non-Degree enrollment forms are available at:

Some programs require a Towson University Undergraduate Degree Application for Admission. Contact the program coordinator for additional information.

The Student Development Specialistill verify your eligibility and forward your information to Towson University.

Towson University will register you and send you a tuition bill for the course at Towson University’s tuition rates.

Specific questions about financial aid should be directed to the Office of Financial Aid at Harford Community College, 443-412-2257.

If you are a Cecil College student:

Complete Towson University’s “Undergraduate Non-Degree Enrollment” form and submit to Towson University.

Some programs require a Towson University Undergraduate Degree Application for Admission. Contact the program coordinator for additional information. Students should also speak with their academic adviser for additional advising.

Towson University will register you and send you a tuition bill for the course at Towson University’s tuition rates.

Specific questions about financial aid should be directed to the Cecil College Financial Aid Office, 410-287-1003.

Billing Information
A separate statement of account will be sent to you by Towson University for any credits taken through Towson at the applicable tuition and fee rate. Towson offers reduced fees to students who take classes at off-campus locations that are 25 miles or more from the TU campus. Off-campus rates are listed below the tuition and fee information, by term, under "Other Rate Structures."

Transfer of Credits
If you take a Towson course in Harford County, the Towson credits you earn will apply toward your specific degree program or as elective credits at Harford Community College. Students who decide to transfer to Towson after earning a degree from HCC can transfer those credits either toward specific degree programs or as elective credits at Towson. Student Resources
ID Numbers: A Towson University student identification number will be assigned to you when the Office of Admissions process is complete.

ID Cards: Unless you plan to be on the Towson campus, a Towson University identification card is not required. However, if you would like to obtain a Towson University OneCard (student photo identification card), please visit the lower level of the Towson University Union. Additional information about the TU OneCard is available by calling 410-704-2284 or by visiting the OneCard Web site.


Towson University Parking Permit: A parking permit is not required if you do not plan to be on the Towson campus. If you are taking classes on campus and need to purchase a parking permit, information about hours of operation and costs is available online at the Parking and Transportation Services Web site or by calling 410-704-5087.


Library: If you wish to check books out of the Towson University library or access Towson’s online databases or journals, you must have a Towson University OneCard.
