Winter Break - Shuttle Information
For shuttle schedules please refer to the Parking & Transportation website at parking.towson.edu.
The following is a list of general parking and shuttle bus schedule modifications for the Winter Break.
General Parking
All TU permits will be valid in Commuter parking areas (Union, Towsontown & Glen Garages) beginning December 22nd through January 25th.
As a reminder, a valid TU permit is required to park on campus between
6:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday – Thursday and 6:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
Shuttle Service – All Routes
The TU on and off campus shuttles will not operate December 23th – January 22nd for the holiday break. The shuttle service will resume normal operation on Monday,
January 23rd. For shuttle schedules please refer to the Parking & Transportation
website at parking.towson.edu.
Para Transit Shuttle
The Para Transit Shuttle will not operate December 24th – January 4th. The Para Transit will resume normal operation on January 5th.
Safe Ride
Safe Ride will not operate during the Winter Break. The service will end on
December 22nd at 10:00 p.m. Safe Ride will resume normal operation on January 25th at 10:00 p.m.
The Towson University Police Department offers campus escort programs from nightfall to 7:00 a.m. To request this service, please contact 410-704-SAFE (7233).
Shuttle Services
Towson University runs shuttle routes both on-campus and off-campus to serve campus visitors and the general campus community. Community members should plan to park their vehicle in a designated lot and use the shuttle to access other locations on campus.
Groups or departments wishing to charter a bus for an event must coordinate their request through Transportation Services.
Individuals with disabilities preventing them from using the regular shuttle buses should access the para-transit service.
NextBus - Live Effective Oct 1, 2009
Transportation Services has installed a system that allows community members to access real time information regarding the status of vehicles and the projected arrival time to stops. The system is now live. Click on the Nextbus link for more information.
