Information for Mentor Teachers

Expectations of the University Instructor

• The university instructor works with mentor teachers to determine lesson content and visiting schedules. This can be done via e-mail, phone calls, and/or visits by the course instructor to the hosting school.
• Towson UTeach understands and appreciates the busy professional lives of mentor teachers. It is the university instructor who works with the pre-service teachers to design, plan, and practice all lessons. Mentor teachers are invited to participate in this process when time permits.
• The university instructor is available to mentor teachers for any questions and concerns.
