There are a number of scholarships and awards available for students in the Fisher College of Science and Mathematics. Of particular interest to students in the Towson UTeach program are two scholarships offered by the College.
The Robert Noyce Scholarship Program is funded by a grant from the National Science Foundation and is a joint effort between the Towson University’s Fisher College of Science & Mathematics and College of Education. This scholarship program aims to meet the growing local and national need for better-qualified middle and high-school STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) teaching professionals. The Robert Noyce Scholarship Program channels these teachers into high need school districts. This program provides for both: (1) Robert Noyce Undergraduate Scholarships and (2) Robert Noyce Graduate Stipends.
The Fisher College of Science and Mathematics offers a scholarship for science majors within the Jess & Mildred Fisher College of Science and Mathematics who intend to teach in a secondary school science. This scholarship is awarded during the semester they are student teaching.
In addition, each of the departments in the Fisher College offer awards to their majors, and information on these may be found at:
