Towson University has partnered with the Maryland National Guard to aid local soldiers and their families. In its first year, the Operation Guardian Tiger program has adopted two National Guard units from Baltimore County.
Through the generosity and commitment of Towson Athletics, Student Affairs, student organizations and community partners, Operation Guardian Tiger will provide support to soldiers overseas and to the families of deployed soldiers here at home.
With the help of student organizations and the campus community, the Veterans Center will collect supplies, and pack and ship care packages to deployed soldiers serving overseas.
Families of deployed soldiers will receive tickets to Towson Athletics events throughout the year, including a mid-summer Family Fun Day with sports clinics and tailgate.
The Veterans Center will provide soldiers the opportunity to watch live Towson sporting events while deployed.
