Long Synopsis (Contains Spoilers)

After the events of the previous night, Will is sleeping on a couch in the lobby of the Media Center. He is awoken by Akeem who asks about the results of the previous night with Jack. Will reveals the discovery of Jack's boyfriend.  Akeem offers to take him out to breakfast before class and Will to think about how good a friend Akeem is to him, stating that nothing would come between them. Suddenly a voice calls out Akeem's name and it's Jamal, Akeem's old friend from home.

Will explains that while he and Akeem, and Akeem and Jamal have been friends at different points in their lives, Will and Jamal have never been friends. This is mainly due to the fact that Jamal was sent to a Juvenile Detention Center early in his high school career for stealing a car and going joyriding. Breakfast quickly becomes a thing of the past as Akeem and Jamal begin to catch up.

Will introduces himself to Jamal, but it is obvious (to everyone, but Akeem) that Jamal and Will do not get along and probably never will. Jamal convinces Akeem to get a drink with him and ditch class. They open the offer to Will who reminds Akeem that they have class shortly. Jamal insults Will, and Akeem tells him to go to class for him.

Will gets to Wood's class already in a foul mood due to his conversation with Jack the previous night, and his conversation with Akeem didn't help much. Jack enters the classroom and things are somewhat awkward between her and Will, but since there were no hard feelings Jack "demands" that Will agree to be best friends for life, effectively making Will her bitch. Will agrees, citing his recent need for friends.

Once the awkwardness lifts, Jack asks about Akeem. Will explains the situation and Jack gives him some advice on how to win back Akeem. She tells him to do something special for him and make him remember why their friends. She claims it always helps in her relationship with her boyfriend. Even with the ensuing sexual innuendo, Will agrees that it is a good idea.

Will proceeds to purchase two tickets to a Spike Lee film festival for him and Akeem. He finds Jamal and Akeem and tells Akeem about the festival. They inform Will that they're going downtown to play some basketball.

A depressed Will contemplates if he needs Akeem. Wood finds him and talks to him about friends and how they stick with you through thick and thin. He decides to still try to stay friends with Akeem regardless of what he does with Jamal.

Fortunately for Will it wouldn't be hard as Jamal has resorted to his old ways and attempts to steal a car. Akeem reminds him that he got where he is today on his own merits and Jamal leaves him behind. Unfortunately for Jamal, he is soon stopped by a police officer.

Akeem finds Will and they reconcile their friendship and agree to get some "breakfast" and go see the festival. So they find Jack and head out to the Senator Theater.
