Women's Center
Division of Student Affairs
The Women’s Center exists as the central contact for
resources and support for women on campus. The center aids
the university in putting into action its commitment to
creating an environment where women of all ages, physical
conditions, sexual identities, spiritual beliefs, and ethnic
origins receive equal opportunities and are able to realize
their full potential in a safe, comfortable environment.
The Women’s Center has:
-
A drop-in
lounge available for study, conversation, eating, or
relaxing
-
A browsing
library
-
An
information center containing free brochures and pamphlets
Further, the center is
available to all students, staff, and faculty. It is
wheelchair accessible. All events are free and open to the
public. Our
facilities may be used by campus and community groups at the
discretion of the director.
Announcement: The opening of the ‘E’ Exhibit, Hazara Women and the Taliban, will be up within two weeks. Zareen Taj, a Towson Alumnus and the documentarian of the project, has just begun employment with the Voice of America organization in Washington, D.C. She is covering issues on Capitol Hill and beyond relative to Afghanistan. We congratulate Zareen on this accomplishment and look forward to her having the exhibit ready for public viewing soon.
