Tutoring Sessions

To Meet with a Tutor

Call the Writing Lab at 410-704-2857 or stop by Linthicum Hall, Room 308.

Making an appointment is the safest way to guarantee that someone can see you when you need help.  Towards the busy middle of the semester, the Lab may need as much as a week’s notice to schedule an appointment.

What to Expect

Tutoring sessions are scheduled on the hour, but will usually last no more than 40 minutes.

Tutors will work with you to establish your goals, to understand what you’re doing very well and what you may want to improve.  The Lab works best if you consider every session part of a longer process so that each appointment brings you get closer to writing with clarity and confidence.
