The Gazette Newspapers in Montgomery County, Md., offers year-round
internships to college students interested in reporting,
photojournalism, graphic arts and copy desk work.
     The program -- a six-week, unpaid internship -- is primarily for
students interested in a career in journalism seeking to gain school
credit or work experience, but other qualified students are considered.
     Interns are assigned to work in their area of interest in one of
five offices in the Gazette group in Bethesda, Gaithersburg, Frederick,
Mount Airy or Silver Spring.
     Interested students should send a cover letter stating interest
(news, sports, features, photography, etc.), availability and special
skills; resume; and examples of work (four to five clips, photos, etc.)
