President Schatzel announces the search committee for the Vice President of University Advancement.
Dear TU Campus Community:
To continue our progress with our priority to “Build a Culture of Philanthropy,” I am pleased to announce that the national search for the Vice President of University Advancement has launched and will occur during the fall semester with the goal to have the position filled by January 2017. As a respected leader in sourcing higher education talent, the Witt/Kieffer search firm will be working with us on this search.
Daraius Irani, Interim Vice President of the Division of Innovation and Applied Research, is serving as the chair of the search committee and leading the search process.
The search committee members include:
In addition, the final candidates for the position will be interviewed by the following University System of Maryland leaders:
Occurring concurrently to the VP search is a Capital Campaign feasibility study led by Associate Vice President for Development Mike Cather with the assistance of an experienced, high-quality consulting firm, which is currently in the proposal review process. The findings of the study will be used in planning TU’s next capital campaign. The last campaign feasibility study was completed over a decade ago, but much has changed in both technology and donor cultivation strategies since then.
In the coming weeks, more information about the progress of this search and other priorities will posted on the TU website under Presidential Priorities.
Please join me in thanking these individuals for their commitment to building an even stronger foundation to Towson University’s future success.
There’s much to be proud of at Towson University, and there are great things ahead!
Kim Schatzel, Ph.D.
President
