Presidential Inauguration

Towson University celebrated the inauguration of Kim Schatzel as its 14th president at a formal installation ceremony on September 16, 2016.

President Schatzel’s inauguration address focused on her presidential priorities, which include strengthening the university’s commitment to diversity and inclusion, growing partnerships between TU and the area community, and telling the story of why Towson University matters to Maryland.

A weeklong series of events held as part of inauguration included the Tiger football home opener against St. Francis University, lectures, art exhibits, an ice cream social and Ailey II dance concert.
