BTU: Partnerships at Work for Greater Baltimore

We will enhance and strengthen our existing partnerships in Greater Baltimore through a framework of coordinating resources, sharing data, determining impacts and outcomes, and recognizing and rewarding those doing the work.

BTU: Partnerships at Work for Greater Baltimore is one of eight presidential priorities that are linked to and aligned with Towson University’s strategic plan. These eight priorities will help us build a stronger foundation for Towson University’s promising future.

BTU is about elevating the work that TU is already doing with partners throughout Greater Baltimore to better address the needs of the region. While respecting the breadth and diversity of our partnerships and relationships, the following five impact areas serve as the basis for how the efforts, resources, and recognition of university-community partnerships are organized.

BTU Update

During the first half of 2018, progress was made to scale and increase the impact of BTU on our campus and in our communities. Towson University celebrated the inaugural BTU Partnership Awards, recognizing three long-standing collaborations; selected eight programs as priority and emerging investments; and established a support structure for ongoing requests to strengthen BTU partnerships. Read the Summer 2018 BTU Update (PDF), which highlights the goals, activities, impacts and engagements happening on campus and in our communities.
