Committees

Towson University Staff Council committees are outlined in the TUSC Bylaws.

Executive Committee

Consisting of the TUSC elected Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, and Past Chair. The Executive Committee prepares the annual TUSC Report to the President, conducts TUSC meetings, takes accurate and concise meeting minutes, and maintains and reports on the current TUSC budget.

Awards and Elections

Proactively engages, publicizes and supports nominations of TU staff members for the Board Of Regents (BOR) Staff Awards. With the addition of other members of the TU community, the committee works with nominators to ensure that BOR nomination packages are an excellent reflection of each nominee's contribution. In addition, this committee works with the TU campus to develop, collaborate and/or sponsor TU staff awards. Seeks nominations, prepares ballot and assures integrity and accuracy of annual voting process for election of TUSC.

Council of University System Staff (CUSS) Representatives

Attends Council of University System Staff (CUSS) meetings and provides information about USM policies and issues that affect TU as a USM university. Serves as staff representative on the TU University Senate.

Events and Public Relations Committee

Coordinates events for University staff and promotes TUSC visibility. Maintains and updates the TUSC website, Facebook page and the internal SharePoint site. Implements the annual Staff Development Conference for staff members enrichment.

Staff Voice

The staff voice is comprised of TUSC members who serve as Staff representatives at numerous organizations both on and off campus whose actions and policies may directly affect the interests of Towson University staff members.
