Interim President Dr. Timothy Chandler shares the following about the accreditation process at Towson:
Accreditation is a vital means of communicating to the internal and external community the exceptional level of higher education we provide at Towson University. Although we consistently work to assess and improve our performance, every five years, as an institution, we must submit a report to fulfill the requirements of the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE).
Due in June 2016, the Periodic Review Report (PRR) is an in-depth analysis and review of our institution's current status across several different criteria and a strategic plan for the future. This report is based upon the work of a 27-member Steering Committee who represent a cross-section of departments and programs within the university and the local community. Five years following the Self-Study decennial report, the PRR allows us to evaluate and share our accomplishments and needs related to our mission and to help guide further institutional growth and improvement in all aspects of delivering quality higher education.
