Information for Faculty Advisers

The Academic Advising Program at Towson University is designed to help students learn about educational opportunities and resources; make thoughtful decisions about their academic program(s); build a plan for completion of their degree; and take responsibility for monitoring their progress toward completion. Being responsible for advising a group of students in a particular major is a standard part of a faculty member's work load. In addition, faculty at Towson have an opportunity to be nominated and selected to work with special advising programs for new freshman and transferring students. There are several resources available to faculty that will enhance the experience for both faculty member and student.
