 HEALTH INSURANCE IS REQUIRED FOR ALL UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

  • Towson University international students are enrolled by the Towson Student Health Center in AETNA insurance.
  • If you have medical insurance and do not need the student AETNA insurance, you must show your individual medical insurance documents for approval by the Health Center on campus within the first week of school.  
  • If you do not submit your insurance documents for approval and sign an insurance WAIVER at the Towson Student Health center, you will be enrolled in and billed for TU's group health insurance.  
  • If your health insurance plan does not meet the requirements of coverage needed, you will have to purchase the group health insurance immediately.
  • These rules comply with US Immigration policy for international students.
