My own student experiences helped prepare me for my job.
My student experiences helped prepare me for my job. Being involved in clubs, organizations, on-campus jobs and an internship really gave me the edge to learn so much. I was afforded the opportunity to do that just by always asking questions. Because of this, I encourage my students to do the same. Be active and proactive in seeking answers. That’s one of the best ways to learn or at least get the ball rolling. I got my first campus role by inquiring about the right position to the right person.

Before I came to TU, I signed up for a mentor program that I knew little about.  When I arrived, I was unsure of what I wanted to make of my college experience. However, all of that changed after I joined the SAGE (Students Achieve Goals through Education) program. My SAGE mentor invited me to her room in Millennium Hall, made me tea, and told me all about her TU experience and the choir that she directed on campus which was the first of many student organizations that I joined. I found my fit at TU with the help of SAGE.

There’s not much that you can miss here. The city of Towson has everything from farmer’s markets, the cinema, great restaurants, shops, and even dance classes.  Baltimore (and its surrounding area) truly is like no other place on earth so tap in and try it all there is something for everyone.

I know what it's like to be a TU student.
I graduated in 2015. I changed my major four times, started my own student group, made the Dean’s list, committed to five other student organizations including SGA, sat on Student-Faculty committees, and worked all across campus. I didn’t just get a great education but also memories and experiences to last a life time. Once I decided to make TU my home, it was easy to find my space and make my mark.
