My advice to anyone who’s applying.
Get to know your counselor and get to know your campus! Your admissions counselor
is there to help you, and we all know how stressful and taxing the college search
process can be. We enjoy talking with our prospective students and helping them learn
about Towson. Also, students often base their college decision on how a college 'feels'
when they are there, so try and visit different campuses to see what feels right for
you.
Why I work in admissions.
When I was in college, I worked at the admissions office as a student assistant. I
loved that I had the opportunity to talk about my school with prospective students
and share my passion for the college experience on tours. I wanted to turn that into
a career, so it became very clear to me that I should pursue college admissions once
I graduated.
Here’s what I love about Towson’s location.
There are so many things to do in Towson's vibrant community, whether it be great
food, shopping, or outdoor activities. We also have the tremendous advantages and
opportunities of being so close to a major metropolitan city, Baltimore. Towson's
location can really provide something for everyone.
What I like most about my job.
I love getting to work around constant learning and young people that are finding
their passion. I had no idea what I wanted to do when I went to college, and left
with a clear path in mind. I appreciate that I get the opportunity to help students
begin their college experience since I benefitted so much from my own experience.
