Campus Tours for Individuals and Families

Our 90-minute walking tour gives you a chance to connect with current students and learn about life on campus as you visit academic buildings, residence halls, dining halls and popular hangouts. All campus tours begin with a brief information session by one of our admission counselors. It's a great way to get to know if TU is right for you. 

  • Please complete all steps of the registration process through the “checkout” stage or your reservation will not be entered into our system. Upon completion, you will receive a confirmation email with parking instructions and directions.

Directions & Parking

Follow these directions to West Village Commons. Parking for campus tours is available in the West Village Parking Garage visitor or overflow spaces only. Guests must either display the email confirmation/parking permit on their vehicle dashboard or use the parking code provided in their tour confirmation email.

  • From the garage, follow Towson Way (brick walkway) through West Village to West Village Commons.
  • Make a right between Barton and Tubman Houses.
  • Continue to West Village Commons, 3rd floor.

Disability Support

If you or a family member require an interpreter or a handicap tour, please contact 410-704-4696 at least two weeks prior to your visit so that we can arrange for your needs. 

Inclement Weather Policy

In the event classes are canceled, all campus tours will be canceled.  Towson University will post closing information on the TU homepage.  A notification email will be sent to students who are registered for a tour that is canceled.


Campus Tours for High School Groups or Organizations

Group tours are available throughout the year to high schools or community organizations with 10 or more students and include a presentation from University Admissions and a 90-minute walking tour of campus by a student ambassador. Please allow approximately two hours for your total visit time at Towson University. You will find a complete list of days and times available by clicking on the Register Now button below.

  • There is a maximum of 50 students per tour time, and at least one chaperone is required for every 10 students. 
  • Once your request is received, you will receive an email with a group tour contract that must be signed and returned in order to confirm your visit.
