High School Summer Programs

Towson University Community Art Center’s Summer Art studio classes provide opportunities for high school students to advance their creative abilities, sharpen skills and develop artwork in a range of media suitable for use in a college portfolio. Studios classes will be led by experienced instructors that are practicing professional artists with a wealth of knowledge. 

Digital Studio

College Portfolio Prep                                                             

In this college portfolio prep course, participants will manipulate traditional art-forms (drawing painting) using alternative processes and technologies to create artworks. Students will use a range of tools including scanning, digital photography, animation and digital manipulation with an emphasis on the fundamental principles of art and the creative process.  Adobe Photoshop Suite software will be used in a Macintosh OSX operating system. In class opportunities will be provided for students to engage in-group discussions and the exchange ideas.

Session II:   July 17 - 28,  2017             10:00 am - 1:00 pm              

Tuition for each session:  $375.00 (supplies included)
