Gordon interacts with and advises the Maryland Division of Workforce Development and Veterans Administration offices and their counselors concerning online course options and prerequisites their clients need to meet for a particular course to be successful once retraining funding is approved. He also works with individual self-paying students to do the same. Gordon represents the Center for Professional Studies at educational, environmental, and jobs forums around the state and works with the United States Armed Forces and National Guard as it relates to available training funds for military spouses.
