She oversees all projects; maintains the group’s reputation for competence among clients, vendors, partners, and official entities by setting standards for excellence in service and deliverables; and develops and maintains infrastructure to support business processes. Ardys plays a major role in strategic planning for business development and fiscal management for CGIS and assists with expanding Towson University’s role as a state and regional resource for GIS services, applications, and training.

Since 2009, she has served as Principal Investigator Towson University’s role in the Maryland Broadband Mapping Initiative, a component of the federally-funded state broadband initiative to map broadband across Maryland and identify served and unserved areas.

Ardys also oversaw an Institute of Museum and Library Services SPARKS Grant that piloted a GIS project to develop a tool to incorporate GIS as a resource to help library administrators achieve a better understanding of their library’s user base and its associated demographics, needs, and preferred uses of the library’s resources.

Ardys holds a M.S. in organizational development and strategic human resources from The Johns Hopkins University and a B.S. (magna cum laude) in geography and environmental planning from Towson University.
