As a research associate for RESI, Catherine (Katie) Menking has numerous roles, including conducting research for potential and current projects, primary and secondary data collection and analysis, and report writing and editing. She has contributed to a variety of projects, such as a hospital expansion impact analysis and Towson University’s 150th Anniversary Study.
Prior to joining RESI in 2015, Katie worked in the healthcare industry as a diagnostic medical sonographer. Strong attention to detail, effective communication, adaptability, and professionalism are skills that she has retained as assets in her new position.
Katie holds a B.S. in economics from Towson University and an A.S. in diagnostic medical sonography from Pennsylvania College of Health Science. She is currently pursuing a Masters of Professional Studies in applied economics at the University of Maryland, College Park.
Katie enjoys reading, watching movies, cooking, and hiking with her husband and dog.
