Ellen started with the Regional Economic Studies Institute (RESI) in 2014. As a research associate, she is responsible for data collection and analysis, assistance with report writing, and blogging. Recently, she was part of the team that conducted the Towson University 150th Anniversary Economic and Fiscal Impact Study, a comprehensive study of the economic, fiscal, and community impacts of Towson University over the entirety of its operations (since 1866) as part of TU’s 150th anniversary celebration.
In addition, Ellen has contributed to the data collection and research for a report submitted to the Maryland Center for Construction Education and Management to forecast the demand for Bachelor’s degree candidates in Maryland’s construction/built environment industry from 2015 to 2020. In collaboration with the Office of the President at TU, she provided SWOT analysis to be used for the next Middle States Accreditation assessment for the University.
Ellen holds a B.A. from Goucher College, where she studied dance, economics, and Spanish.
Outside of RESI, Ellen dances ballet and enjoys yoga and travelling.
