Ellen joined the Regional Economic Studies Institute (RESI) in 2014. As a senior research associate, she is responsible for various stages of projects including economic impact analyses; methodology development; survey construction and analysis; primary and secondary data collection and analysis; and technical writing and editing. Ellen is a frequent contributer to the Division’s blog and supervises RESI’s student interns.
Ellen has worked on a variety of projects, including multiple economic and fiscal impact analyses of Maryland’s Arts and Entertainment Districts for the Maryland State Arts Council; economic and fiscal impact analyses for proposed facilities in Maryland; a demand analysis for the Maryland construction industry; analyses for the Maryland Department of the Environment; and survey analysis for a regional athletic event.
Ellen holds a B.A. in economics, Spanish, and dance from Goucher College and has completed graduate coursework at the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
Outside of RESI, Ellen dances ballet and enjoys yoga and travelling.
