Health Education Post-Baccalaureate Teacher Certification

Take the knowledge you gained as an undergraduate student and apply it to additional coursework to gain your teacher certification.

If you have received your bachelor’s degree and want to become certified to teach in Maryland, the post-baccalaureate teacher certification is the ideal program for you. Whether your degree is in a non-health related major or if you concentrated in art, community health, dance, or physical education, this program is the perfect solution if you want to teach health education.

Before You Apply

If you are interested in applying to the teacher certification program, you must first submit an unofficial transcript and Praxis I scores or proof of current registration for the next scheduled exam. Documents should be submitted either by fax at 410-704-4670 or mailed to:

The Process

Please include your current contact information along with your paperwork. Dr. Wengert will review your transcript and contact you within two weeks of receiving the required documents. She will provide academic advising and additional information regarding application to the program.
