Clinician to Educator Course

The Clinician to Educator course provides clinical faculty with the foundational education that is necessary to teach in the classroom. The program is supported by Maryland Higher Education Commission Grant #19-119.

Format

The format of the Clinician to Educator course is a blended classroom experience (i.e., students learn through electronic and online media as well as traditional face-to-face teaching) with online instructions. Students will have the opportunity to teach in a classroom setting with experienced faculty mentors. NOTE:  In  the event that Towson University continues campus class restrictions, all Clinician to Educator classes will be held online. 

FACE-TO-FACE DATES (Please note that this class is full and registration is closed.)

  • August 11, 18 and 25
  • September 1, 15, 22 and 29

Classes are held from 5 - 10 p.m. at Towson University’s main campus.

Eligibility

Eligible participants must have a Master’s degree in nursing, one year RN clinical experience and a Maryland or compact state RN. An application is required.
