Kelly DaCunha joined the Family Studies and Community Development Department in the Fall of 2016. Prior to that, she worked as a Forensic Social Worker and a Clinical Social Worker in various capacities. She earned a B.S. in Family Studies from the University of Maryland, College Park and her Master’s Degree in Social Work and her Certificate in Psychotherapy from the University of Maryland, School of Social Work. Additionally, she is a certified Family Life Educator. Having been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for 10 years and a Certified Forensic Interviewer, Kelly has worked for local social service agencies and a local state’s attorney’s office in the Special Victim’s Unit. Her specializations include working with child abuse victims and their families, supporting victims of intimate crimes, forensic interviewing, and family intervention and the prevention of abuse.
