Mass Communication and Communication Studies students can choose from a variety of
study abroad programs, including Towson University programs, exchanges, and affiliate programs. The cost to participate varies from program to
program, as do the services included. Federal financial aid can be used and Study
Abroad scholarships are also available.
MCOM 479 or COMM 470, 3 credits What are you doing this Minimester? Why not spend time in London, one of the liveliest
cities in the world? Earn 3 upper-level credits while learning about corporate communication
in the UK and immersing yourself in the British way of life.
Program dates are January 2 (fly out) to January 18 (fly home). Hurry! The application

Study communication and global competence in Barcelona, Spain with Towson University
in Summer 2016. Barcelona, known for its rich and vibrant Catalan cultural identity,
provides an ideal learning environment for understanding the relationship between
communication, culture and identity, as well as developing skills necessary to attain
competency in today's globalized world. Participants will take part in class lectures,
discussions and exercises, learn from guest speakers, and participate in field excursions.
Program highlights include visits to Barcelona's art museums, walking architectural
tours, live theatre, and a Barcelona soccer match at Camp Nou. The program director
is Sandy Nichols.
