The Towerlight

The Towerlight is an award-winning independent newspaper produced by Towson University students. It is published twice-weekly by Baltimore Student Media, Inc. To apply to be a member of the staff, visit the office at University Union, room 309. The newspaper awards a $1,000 scholarship to one incoming freshman each year.

WMJF-TV

WMJF-TV is one of only a few student-run, F.C.C.-licensed television stations in the nation. WMJF-produced programming is generally seen weekday evenings from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., and nights from 9 p.m. to midnight. Students write, produce, star, shoot, edit, direct, and air all locally produced television shows. WMJF accepts program proposals from students who would like to produce their own show. Even if you don’t want to create your own show, we have a wide variety of television shows that are already in production.

XTSR

XTSR is a student-run Internet radio station. Students manage, promote, program and DJ the station. DJ shifts typically run from 9 a.m. to midnight and include a wide range of music genres. The station has been broadcasting from the Towson campus since 1971.
