The Maryland Loaner Lab Training workshop qualifies teachers to borrow from the Maryland
Loaner Lab. This 3-hour workshop is offered throughout the school year or you may
request a custom training date at our facility. This workshop is free and open to all
middle and high school science teachers in Maryland.
Maryland Loaner Lab Training Goals
Participants will become familiar with and understand how to use the equipment provided
in the MDLL activities.
Participants will be given an opportunity to discuss how to integrate MDLL activities
into their current curriculum.
After successful completion of the MDLL training workshop, teachers will be eligible
to borrow from the MDLL program.
How to sign up for a MDLL Training Workshop
The MDLL training workshop is offered as either an in-person or online training.
In person-training sessions are conducted in the SciTech Student Learning Lab located
in the Inner Harbor of Baltimore at 701 E. Pratt Street.
Online training sessions are conducted asynchronously online over 2 weeks.
Gain hands-on experience with specific lab techniques and equipment included in MDLL
Learn lab techniques through videos and readings.
Sessions offered twice per year in the fall and spring.
We will send email confirmations for all requests we receive. If you do not receive
a reply indicating you are enrolled in a training session within five business days
of submitting your form, pleaseemail us at mdll AT_TOWSONand inquire about the status of your request.
Custom MDLL Training Workshops
If you cannot make one of our regularly scheduled training sessions you mayrequesta custom training date here at the Towson University Center for STEM Excellence.
Please note that we require a minimum of 15 participants to schedule a custom training
date, and we need a 3-hour time block for the session. If you do not have 15 science
teachers at your school, reach out to neighboring schools and invite other teachers
