Biography

Coy L. May, a native of Wichita Falls, Texas, has been a faculty member at Towson University since the fall of 1979. He received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Texas, his Master's degree from UCLA, and his Ph.D. degree from the University of Texas.

At Towson University, his primary teaching responsibilities are in algebra and topology. He has developed a continuing program of research on compact Klein surfaces and has published more than 40 articles in mathematics research journals. He participated in the Maryland Collaborative for Teacher Preparation, an NSF funded program of the University System of Maryland. Dr. May also has directed many successful Applied Mathematics Laboratory projects.
