SCIE 650 ENGINEERING IN INTEGRATED STEM EDUCATION (3.00 units)
Students investigate the engineering design process, engineering habits of mind, and engineering fields, and consider how teachers teach and students learn about engineering and to engineer in the context of integrated STEM education.

BIOL 651 ENVIRONMENTAL & BIOLOGICAL SCIENCE IN INTEGRATED STEM EDUCATION (3.00 units)
Students investigate place-based education, environmental literacy, and outdoor applications of biology education, and consider how teachers teach and students learn about life science and environmental concepts in the context of integrated STEM education.

MTED 650 MATHEMATICS IN INTEGRATED STEM EDUCATION (3.00 units)
Students investigate standards-based mathematical practices and concepts, and consider how teachers teach and students learn about these practices and concepts in the context of thematic, integrated STEM education.

SCIE 652 EARTH-SPACE & PHYSICAL SCIENCE IN INTEGRATED STEM EDUCATION (3.00 units)
Students explore physical and Earth-space science concepts, scientific practices, and ways in which teachers teach and students learn about these concepts and practices in the context of integrated STEM education.

ILPD 742 TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT (3.00 units)
Addresses the basic considerations affecting professional development at the school and district level, examines patterns of organization and identifies successful school practices. Students formulate and articulate their own beliefs in relation to current trends and make correlations to standards addressed through the Educational Leadership Constituent Council, Maryland Instructional Leadership Framework, Technology Standards for School Administrators and the National Staff Development Council.
