Designed to support women in STEM, the highly respected Hill-Lopes Scholars program offers coursework, research experiences, seminars and one-to-one mentorship to selected scholars.
The Hill-Lopes Scholars program was established in the Jess & Mildred Fisher College of Science and Mathematics at Towson University through a generous gift from Barbara Hill and Ancelmo Lopes.
Students selected as Hill-Lopes Scholars gain the academic and professional skills they need to succeed in today’s STEM workforce. The scholarship program is open to full- and part-time undergraduate students in the Fisher College of Science and Mathematics who have a cumulative 3.0 GPA. The program spans four years, and students apply to the program at the end of the first year. Hill-Lopes Scholars receive a stipend each semester as well as financial support to attend professional scientific meetings and to participate in career-building conferences and workshops.
