Modern programs rooted in tradition.
For 90 years, Baltimore Hebrew University (BHU) educated the Jewish community and the world beyond about tradition, culture, history and faith. When it integrated with Towson University in 2009, a new tradition was born. Through its own 150 years of educational excellence, Towson University is committed to carrying on the mission of BHU.
Our graduate programs in Leadership and Jewish Studies are more than a look at the past. They're a move toward the future with 100 percent job placement rates upon graduation. Our programs get you noticed for your passion, knowledge, understanding and skills.
Towson University is home to the Joseph Meyerhoff Collection, the largest collection of Jewish historical volumes and artifacts in the Southeastern United States. Among our collection are more than a thousand rare pieces, as well as hundreds of priceless items from the Jewish Cultural Reconstruction organization that were reclaimed from Nazi seizure during World War II.
We also offer substantial need and merit-based scholarships and financial aid through our partnership with Baltimore Hebrew Institute. BHI is committed to supporting the education of Jewish scholars, educators and communal professionals.
