Faculty & Staff Appreciation Picnic

The Towson University Annual Faculty & Staff Appreciation Picnic is open to Towson University faculty, staff and their families.   

Rain Plan In Effect

Due to the weather forecast, the 2018 picnic will be held in the original gyms of Burdick Hall.  


The picnic is held annually in recognition of the hard work and dedication employees bring to the university every day. This event originated in the Department of Human Resources.  It is funded by the Administration and Finance Division and now managed by Auxiliary Services with a dedicated planning committee comprised of employees across several departments.   

2018 Picnic

Date: Friday, June 1, 2018 

Time:  4 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Rain Location: Burdick Hall

Rain location:  The picnic is held rain or shine. If the forecast calls for severe weather, the picnic will be held in Burdick Hall. The rain call will be made at least 24 hours in advance, so check here for updates!

Parking permits are not required after 3 p.m. on the day of the picnic.  Faculty/staff and their guests may park in the Towsontown Garage. Guests will not be required to purchase a visitor pass for the event. Please refer to the parking website or call 410-704-PARK for additional information.


  • ONE lucky winner will receive a free TU parking permit!
  • Faculty/Staff flex meal plan (5 meal per week)
  • one year membership to the Wellness Center

Our picnic could not happen with the creativity, dedication and hard work of our picnic committee.   The picnic is planned, executed and staffed by a committee of volunteers of faculty and staff from several different departments across campus.
