Women’s Faculty & Staff Association

The Women’s Faculty/Staff Association (WFSA) shares its mission with the University System of Maryland’s Women’s Forum (USMWF) which is to bring together the women of the University System of Maryland in order to enhance the status of women, to foster networking among women, to encourage the participation of women in all facets of the System, and to respect and value the diversity and richness of the perspectives and experiences of all communities of women at Towson University and within the System.

Goals of the WFSA include:

  • Create networking opportunities for members
  • Advocate for institutional policies, procedures and practices that meet the needs of female employees
  • Explore and expand on existing research and practices that impact women in the workplace.
  • Act as the campus liaison to the University System of Maryland’s Women’s Forum (USMWF). The USMWF brings together the women of the University System of Maryland in order to enhance the status of women, to foster networking among women, and to encourage the participation of women in all facets of the System. 
  • To recognize and foster the achievements of women at Towson University by providing awards to promote research, scholarship, and professional development.

  • To advocate for inclusion and equity for women faculty and staff across Towson University.
