The fourth annual LAPS for Autism fun walk and festival held on April 17, 2016 raised over $13,000 support social, educational, and creative programming for adults with autism that includes Towson University students.
LAPS for Autism is a fun-filled afternoon that supports Towson University’s Hussman Center for Adults with Autism that helps in offering programs that bring together adults with autism and Towson University students for mutual learning. The fun walk is held each April during National Autism Awareness Month. Individuals and groups are encouraged to build teams and fundraise to make a difference in the lives of adults with autism living in our communities and the Towson graduates who can contribute to creating more inclusive communities.
Teams walk or run laps around the track at Johnny Unitas Stadium at Towson University and enjoy a festival atmosphere with great food, music, and activities. If, running or walking laps isn’t for you, join us to enjoy the afternoon by taking part in the festival activities and cheering on friends and family.
Stay tuned for information about the 2017 LAPS for Autism event.
