TU Ally Program

Sponsored by LGBTQ+ Student Development, this program provides faculty, staff, students and community members with tools to become an ally to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual, etc. communities. At the successful completion of the program, participants agree to work towards LGBTQ+ inclusion through supportive conversations, creating inclusive curricula, the use of appropriate names/gender pronouns, etc.

Training Information

We host trainings each semester that are scheduled and by request. These trainings explore topics such as LGBTQ+ terminology, the coming out process, homophobia/heterosexism, transgender terminology, transphobia/cisgenderism and strategies for allyship.

Trainings are listed on the Master Events Calendar, as well as the Training and Development schedule on the Human Resources website for TU.

If you would like more information about these programs, or would like to schedule an TU Ally Training, please send an email to LGBTQ+ Student Development at  or call 410-704-2051.
