Towson University was again selected as the region’s best college or university in a poll of “Baltimore Sun” readers. TU has been similarly honored previously, including in each of the last three years.

These honors come as Towson University continues to earn national acclaim, including as a top 100 public university by “U.S. News & World Report.”

Other Towson University affiliates earned accolades in The Sun poll, too.

Men’s basketball player and graduate student Terry Nolan Jr. was an honorable mention in the best college athlete category. Howard County Executive Calvin Ball ‘97 was named as an honorable mention for best local politician or government official. Also, 89.7 WTMD earned an honorable mention for best radio station, and an on-air personality was named honorable mention for best radio host.
