Need-to-know info for Thanksgiving break

How to get home, campus closures, other helpful updates

The leaves are falling, midterms are graded and Halloween has come and gone. Now the next milestone to check off the list is Thanksgiving break. Here's what you need to know about schedule changes, special shuttles and more.

Free BWI & Penn Station Shuttles

Parking and Transportation Services is offering free shuttles to BWI Airport and Penn Station when you reserve a seat on the Thanksgiving Break BWI-Penn Shuttle.

Tiger students, faculty and staff are welcome to ride the following shuttles:

5 or 7 p.m. shuttle on Fri., Nov. 21
1, 3 or 5 p.m. shuttle on Mon., Nov. 24, and Tues., Nov. 25
returning shuttle at either 5 or 7 p.m. on Sun., Nov. 30

The shuttles will depart from the Union Garage bus loop. Reserve a seat now.

Housing Closures

All traditional residence halls will close at 9 a.m. on Wed., Nov. 26, and will reopen at 12 p.m. on Sun., Nov. 30. Tigers cannot stay in their dorm rooms over break.

Apartment communities and residence halls with nine-month contracts, Residence Tower and Harris Hall will remain open. Community centers will be closed, but resident assistant staff will be on call if they’re needed.

Modified Campus Rec Hours

Campus Rec will close early on Tuesday, November 25 at 6 P.M. and will be closed from Wednesday, November 26 until Saturday, November 29 for Thanksgiving Break.

The facility will reopen with regular hours on Sunday, November 30, at 12 P.M.

Modified Dining Hours

TU Dining Services will have updated schedules over the break, beginning on Tues., Nov 21. All locations will resume their normal hours on Mon., Dec. 1.

The 24/7 Tigers Express Mart will be open throughout the break.
