The Towson University men’s basketball team is facing high expectations this year — and they’re ready to roar.

Coming into the season, the Tigers were picked as preseason favorites to win the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) in a poll voted on by league coaches.

Along with being the conference favorite, junior guard Tyler Tejada was named CAA Preseason Player of the Year after earning CAA Men’s Basketball Player of the Year honors last season. The Tigers are also led by redshirt junior point guard Dylan Williamson, who was named to the Preseason All-CAA First Team.

Led by the two preseason honorees, the Tigers are off to a 2–1 start, with wins over crosstown rival Loyola and Wilson College. Towson will be back at home Friday, Nov. 14, against Norfolk State, with tipoff scheduled for 7 p.m.

For the rest of the campus community, coming to cheer the Tigers is easy, as all faculty, staff and students get a free ticket by using their TU OneCard, and by signing up for the Towson University Athletics App.

And the Tigers are ready reward those who come out to the game with special giveaways, including Gold Rush Football Jersey, a gold basketball jersey, a Doc Squishmallow, a black TU themed Hawaiian shirt, dollar beer and hot dog nights and much more.
