Volleyball storms into CAA tournament
Tigers finish regular season 21-6, have home court advantage in championship tournament Nov. 20–22
TU volleyball is looking to bring their stellar record into the postseason as they compete for the CAA Championship title at SECU Arena Nov. 20–22.
The Tigers went on a 18-game winning streak in September and October to finish the season with a 21-6 record. Players earned seven CAA weekly honors—including three Defensive Player of the Week nods for libero Sydney Stewart—and solidified the program’s place as one of the most winning Division I volleyball teams in the nation. Their five-year record is 158-29.
Fans can expect fast-paced kills, blocks and aces at this weekend’s single-elimination CAA Championship Tournament. Cheer on the Tigers in the first round of play at 6 p.m. Thurs., Nov. 20. Single-day tournament tickets are available for $10 or an all-session pass is available for $20. TU students can obtain one complimentary ticket per day by showing their OneCard at the gate. Faculty and staff can obtain $5 tickets at the gate by showing their OneCards.
